I've been dreaming about exploring the world since I was about eight. Perhaps I was influenced by the likes of Cairo Jim, Tintin and Carmen Sandiego?

I used to cut out articles from the travel section and keep them to remind me of where I would like to visit. I didn't have any specific locations in mind - I wanted to see it all. So I quickly accumulated a vast amount of articles all quickly yellowing with age, the brittle paper a fantastic fire hazard.


I've gone on a few short jaunts to Europe during uni semester breaks, but now I've finished uni and have a small kitty of moola saved, I'm ready to hit the road.


The plan is simple. London to Sydney Overland.
