Horsing around

A puppy followed me home.

It vaguely resembled snowy and was delightfully inquisitive, sniffing and fossicking through garden beds and hedges. Yet it kept checking to see where I was, and would step into line with me for a minute or two, before sniffing some else out and disappearing. Back and forth, he (she?) went, till I reached my garden gate, then it turned around and retraced it's steps home.

A friend's dog gave birth to ten puppies on the weekend. My heart aches for an animal companion.

I managed to somewhat sedate my love for horses, by horse riding over Easter. But Anne Hall's images has stirred up my longings to nestle in the mane of a mare and ride some lonely trails.

Decent shot

It's raining outside. Torrents of water lash against the windows and weigh the guttering down.

It's shaping up to be a day of reading, eating, writing and sleeping. But first, I'm going to just sit and listen to it fall. It's been a while since we've had a decent shot of rain in Sydney.

Dress me up!

[via: society6]

It started with one cute cartoon with a brilliant pun 'indeergestion'. Before I knew it I stumbled onto 40 pages of pug images - it sounds excessive and probably slightly obsessive but I couldn't help but fawn over the ugly little beauties.

I've just discovered 'We Heart It' - a treasure trove of eye candy from all around the web.

I could have posted countless images, but I don't want to give the impression that I dress dogs on the weekend - heck I don't even have a dog! But you would be insane not to call these adorable.

It's amazing that such an animal evolved given the plethora of health problems they suffer from - according to wikipaedia the pug has to rely on it's owner to clean it's ears and between the folds on it's face. Talk about pampered pooch.

Yet I'm smitten! I want a pug! I promise not to humiliate by dressing it in costumes...unless it's a fancy dress party.

Puppy Dog Tails

What a wet and miserable start to summer! So who you gonna call to turn the day around?

A dose of David Bowie “Magic Dance” shall shake the cobwebs form the corners of your brain and get the heart a thumpin' in trepidation for a sensuous summer of merriment!

What kind of magic spell to use/ Slime and snails

Or puppy dogs' tails/ Thunder or lightning

Then baby said/ Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)

If David Bowie’s toned tussy in super tight breeches, doesn’t 'magic' up your day, how about these adorable puppy dog tails:

Robert Bradford started creating life sized sculptures out of his children's outgrown / discarded toys, see here for more of his kooky art.
