Hot hot hot!

Oops: Triple J Hottest 100 winner leaked?

I’ve finally put my vote into the hottest 100!

I delayed voting until to the last minute thinking that I would be suddenly struck with insight and wisdom.

Unfortunately I had to battle my way the gamut of emotions that comes with voting– the joy of remembering forgotten songs, reminiscing over amazing gigs, the savoring of soundtracks to recent road trips, then the stress of realizing that you’re at least 15 songs over the limit.

Here is my top ten:

Andy Bull - Dog {Ft. Lisa Mitchell}

Bluejuice - Work

The Chemist - Lullaby #1 (Mercy)

Cloud Control - There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight

Jonsi - Go Do

Little Dragon - My Step

Little Red - Rock It

Mark Ronson & The Business Intl - Somebody To Love Me {Ft. Boy George & Andrew Wyatt}

The Naked And Famous - Punching In A Dream

Yeasayer - O.N.E

5 out of 10 are Aussie. There is some bloody good talent in this country. I can’t wait for 26th January to chill out to countdown with a plate of lamingtons and a meat pie. Oh and to win the golden ticket *fingers crossed*

Thinking thoughts

I've put my thinking cap on and I'm concentrating so hard that steam is whistling from my ears.

There's only 17 days left till voting closes for the Hottest 100 and I'm trying to whittle down a year of fan-bloody-tastic music into a list of my top ten songs.

My oh my this is tough!

Happy Mondays

A more perfect day couldn't be found, even if you looked under the couch cushions.

Yes i will gloat, as doesn't that just put the icing on the cake that is called life?

- A bout of boisterous dancing to Cee Lo Green's new song "F%$^ you" during a cardio kickbox workout

I may be jumping the gun here, but i'dput money on it taking out the number one spot in the Hottest 100

- Breakfast of creamy Rice porridge topped with pear, blueberries and sour cherries

- Finding unticketed parking in Rozelle

- Adriano Zumbo's sweet french bread Berry, almond, custard pastry for morning tea

- Finding brand new pale blue, distressed skinny Country Road jeans for $25 at the Red Cross Store - booyah! Preventing landfill, charitable donations and cheap jeans in one fall swoop

- Befriending a beautiful cardigan to wear at a wedding on the weekend

- Coffee and Pear & Blueberry buttercake for lunch at Bourke Street Bakery

- Lastly its Monday and i didn't have to slip into the weary role of gainfully employed and productive citizen for the day...thank golly gosh for ADO's
